Erica Honore is a California native who moved to Howe, Texas with her family in 2013. She attended California State University, Northridge, where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. In 1999 she began working for a nonprofit at Five Acres, a residential treatment center for abused and neglected children. She later moved to The Regional Center, an agency that specializes in working with families of children with special needs. Erica has always had a great passion for working with children. After the tragedy of losing Austin in 2006 she committed to finding purpose for her pain and became a Certified Grief Specialist. However, when she lost Donovan in 2015 it was an extreme challenge for her to find that purpose yet again. Erica admits that she went down a very dark path that she did not think she would make it back from. However, her commitment and love for her family inspired her to fight her way out of the darkness. Erica has been participating in many public speaking forums sharing her story and she is currently working at a hospice agency as a Bereavement Coordinator as well as teaching her educational program on grief and loss to private clients and groups.
